WITH CLOSE PROXIMITY TO WILD BEARS, the images will be incredible, and photo opportunities abundant.

There is an abundance of wildlife in the area to photograph and enjoy as well, including, friends such as wolves, black bears and moose. Testimonial…”I am currently immersed in photographic polar bear heaven at Nanuk Lodge somewhere south of Churchill, Manitoba in Canada. The lodge is brand new with all the comforts one could want in such a remote location. Don’t come with the expectation of anything less than a gourmet dining experience either. The staff here is knowledgeable, friendly and professional. If polar bears are on your photography wish list, Nanuk Lodge is certainly a place to go. If weather conditions are right, you might also be treated to a show of Northern Lights as I witnessed. Thanks to Chas and Nanuk Lodge for another great wildlife extravaganza!” Rick Beldegreen

We are currently under a Severe T storm Alert with Tornado watch until 1 pm.
I took this off my back deck 10 minutes ago.

1DX, 24-70 II, 10 sec @ f/11, ISO 200, tripod.
With the motor drive engaged I locked the shutter with a cable release, firing the camera repeatedly in 10 sec intervals. Lens manually focused at infinity. You can make the shutter longer 20 or 30 sec. intervals. Longer exposures increase noise and a chance of picking up ambient light. You can also use Bulb setting. With longer exxposures you can capture multiple strikes.

When Scott at LensCoat asked me if I was willing to help prototype a long lens bag I jumped at the chance. I have been searching for a long lens bag that would allow me to both comfortably carry and afford quick and easy access in field, as well as secure the gear effectively when shooting from and/or transporting in a vehicle. Scott smartly garnered input from a number of other pro photographers as well as myself. The end result is one ingeniously designed bag that can accommodate your lens with the hood reversed or extended, a body attached, even with converters in place. Alas my search is over!

Highly Recommended.
